New techniques for making small, micromechanical parts
are enabling large new markets. Sales of these micro devices are
already over 4 billion dollars.
For the past 11 years Belle Mead Research has specialized
in using these micromechanical (or MEMS) devices to advantage. Belle
Mead Research has designed and developed MEMS products, helped MEMS start
up companies, evaluated MEMS products and programs, and performed MEMS
research. Below is a summary of some collaborative efforts.
-
Helping a spin off company, Marcus & Trimmer, Inc. develop
a product, secure funds, and develop business plans to market and sell
a medical product.
-
Develop a new MEMS fabrication process to solve a client's
problem, and found a research group making the needed structure.
-
Design a MEMS micro valve for a specialty application.
-
Help a client find a MEMS company to purchase.
-
Develop and license the MicroLanceú genetic engineering
probe.
-
Help a client market their MEMS micromachining capabilities
in Europe.
-
Perform MEMS literature and patentability searches using
BMR's extensive library.
-
Provide confidentially for clients wishing to explore a MEMS
area.
-
Research in the science and metrology of micro phenomena.
-
Evaluate existing MEMS programs.
Please call me if you wish to talk about some aspect of micromechanics
and MEMS.
